If you loved the Ocean Rodeo Mako, you already understand the idea. Safety. Stability. Control. When the conditions get difficult, the Okam-Pro — our wave twintip successor to the Mako — helps keep things under control.
The Mako created something different — a twintip with the feel of a waveboard. More grip, more control and a smooth, predictable ride that made difficult water conditions easier to enjoy.
As new Mako boards became increasingly difficult to find, we saw an opportunity to take that concept further. Introducing the Nomad Okam-Pro.
The Okam-Pro is not simply a replacement for the Mako. It is a much more developed kiteboard, based on the Nomad Wave Twintip that we have been developing, testing and selling for more than 20 years.
The result is a board designed around one simple idea: Safety. Stability. Control.
The Okam-Pro takes the characteristics that made the Mako so popular and develops them further.
The Okam-Pro holds its edge confidently, giving you control without needing to constantly fight the board.
The refined outline, rocker and hull allow the board to move cleanly through rough water. Instead of hammering through the chop, the Okam-Pro absorbs and smooths the ride, making difficult conditions much more comfortable.
The lighter construction gives the board a more responsive and effortless feel under your feet — particularly noticeable during longer sessions.
The result is a board that feels calm, controlled and predictable, even when the water isn't.
The Okam-Pro isn't designed only for the perfect day. It is made for the conditions most of us actually ride — changing wind, strong gusts, short-period chop and water that can become difficult very quickly.
You don't need to overpower the board. You don't need to fight every piece of chop. The Okam-Pro simply keeps working underneath you.
More stability. More control. Less effort. That means more energy left for the part that matters: enjoying your session.
The Okam-Pro is available in two carefully developed carbon constructions.
The standard Okam-Pro construction delivers the complete Okam-Pro riding experience. Excellent grip, stability and control combined with the smooth, predictable behaviour of a Wave Twintip. A serious performance board at €950.
The Carbon-Pro is our special lightweight version. Reduced weight gives the board an even more effortless feel, while the refined construction further improves the way it moves through difficult water. The difference becomes particularly noticeable in heavy chop, where the Carbon-Pro feels lighter, smoother and more composed beneath your feet. Lighter. Smoother. More refined.
For riders looking for the ultimate Okam-Pro experience, the Carbon-Pro is the choice.
The boards are available in the established Mako size range — 140x40, 150x40, 165x44 and so on — making the transition simple for existing Mako riders.
If you already know which Mako size works for you, choosing your Okam-Pro is easy. Same familiar sizing. A completely developed Nomad board.
In fact, the more experienced you become, the more you appreciate a board that doesn't demand your attention all the time.
The Okam-Pro works with you rather than against you. It gives you the grip of a waveboard, the convenience of a twintip and the stability to keep riding when the conditions become challenging.
More grip. More stability. More control. Less fighting. Longer sessions.
If you know the Mako, you'll immediately understand the concept. If you don't, just ride the Okam-Pro and discover what a Wave Twintip can do.
Nothing generic, nothing bolted on as an afterthought. Every Okam-Pro ships with these three components as standard.
